She was born July 22, 1976, in Sept-Iles, Quebec, Canada.
As of Fall 2002, she will appear as Mackenzie Previn in the new action-adventure show Adventure Inc. alongside Michael Biehn (of The Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss, and The Magnificent Seven.)
Her character on Adventure Inc. is described as follows:
Mackenzie Previn is a strikingly beautiful young woman with a mysterious past. Although she insists she is an "independent contractor" and her only motivation is personal profit, Mackenzie has become the only person Judson trusts with his life. No matter what the adventure or intrigue Judson throws at her, she can handle it.
Karen Cliche (pronounced Kleesh) stars as Mackenzie Previn a striking, mysterious young woman who is as tough as she is beautiful. Mac is willing to undertake any assignment, no matter how dangerous, on “Adventure Inc.,” the new weekly action-hour from Tribune Entertainment and Fireworks Entertainment.
Prior to joining the cast of “Adventure Inc.,” Cliche appeared in the fast paced action thriller “Riders” starring Stephen Dorff and Natasha Henstridge. She portrayed Alex, one of four young people who get their thrills from robbing banks. The feature has been released in Europe and in the U.S., the film is distributed by Miramax.
Cliche landed a recurring role as Marissa on the MTV drama “Undressed,” and portrayed the role of Lind, a Japanese Animation-inspired character who is a warrior, for Fox Kids’ Network series “Galidor: Defenders of the Outer Dimension.”
In 2001, Cliche starred in “Summer,” a feature film tribute to the legendary filmmaking of John Hughes, as Stef, a young woman who only has one dream – to be an actress.
Cliche also starred in “Vampire High,” a television program which aired in both the United Kingdom and Canada, as Essie Rachimova, a young, royal-blooded vampire who balances her past existence with new predatory instincts.
In 2001, Cliche appeared in the Muse Entertainment/Spelling Television series “All Souls” as Gaby Maine, an Olympic star runner. She co-starred with Stephen Baldwin and Peter Gallagher in “Protection,” a made-for-television film in which Cliche portrayed Vanessa, a sweet-looking Southern girl who is not what she appears to be.
A gifted actress with the ability to take on a wide variety of roles, Cliche has appeared in a number of made-for-television movies including “Race Against Time,” with Eric Roberts. She has also appeared in Fox Family’s “Big Wolf on Campus” as an evil sorority sister and in “Misguided Angels” as a Marilyn Monroe wanna-be. She was in the TVA International series “Largo Winch.” In 1998, she traveled to the exotic destinations of Hong Kong and Australia where she co-starred in the Francis Ford Coppola pilot, “Dr. Jekyll and & Mr. Hyde” with Adam Baldwin.
Born in Sept-Iles, Quebec. Cliche studied drama in high school and participated in a number of stage plays and has also traveled extensively while modeling. She currently resides in Montreal, Canada.
Karen Cliche joined the cast of Mutant X for the third season as the character Lexa.
Like her character Essie, Karen defines Vampire Chic: she's opinionated, has a keen fashion sense, and can be devilish at times. What does this Royal vampire really like to eat? McDonalds, pizza, bacon, pina colada jello and chocolate. Karen Cliché may not perform mind control in real life, but she does have her own special powers . She's quite intuitive and even has the odd premonition.
What keeps Karen up at night? Ghost stories or long legged spiders . And, you had better act nice to others or else Karen will show her fangs.
Her favourite vampire is Lestat from the Anne Rice novels.
When asked where she likes to be bitten, Karen replied "Do you really want to know???"
Karen has appeared in film and television. She has a starring role in the Miramax film tentatively entitled Heist, with Stephen Dorff. On the small screen, she guest -starred in the Muse Entertainment/Spelling Television’s series All Souls, and she co-starred in Protection. Other television appearances include Race Against Time, Largo Winch, Big Wolf on Campus, Misguided Angels. Other credits include appearances in Wrong Number. She recently landed a lead role in feature film Summer, which is set to shoot in the Fall.
Graduated from Rosemount High School in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1993.

Adventure Inc.’s Karen Cliche puts the act in action and the can in Canadian. As in, she can—and will—puke after reading that sentence.
What are you saying?
"I make no judgments. I like to play, and I like to explore things. As long as it’s fun and you’re experimenting, why not? Do you know what I’m saying?”
Our father changed his hair to bald, but that decision was made for him when he was 34:
"I made the decision 14 months ago to change my hair to dark. I wanted to get more, kind of, tough roles. And it did kind of happen.”
Up for a fun game of cat and mouse?
Well, a boyfriend of mine asked me to play wild-animal games, and he wanted to answer the door as a tiger. So we’re on the phone, and I go, “What do you mean? I put on my leopard thong and I kind of growl and hiss?” Like, “Ha-ha-ha.” And he’s like, “No, we’re on the African plains, and we greet and sniff each other.” That’s when I realized I couldn’t be with this person. I just couldn’t do that. I’d find it too funny, and I wouldn’t be able to take it seriously. He’s a little artsy, a little weird. Safari and sex? There’s no connection there for me.
